âš™ī¸ Features Explained

Dice Types

D6 - Six-Sided

  • Standard cube dice
  • Results: 1-6
  • Each result has 1/6 chance (16.67%)
  • For most board games

D4 - Four-Sided

  • Pyramid/tetrahedron shape
  • Results: 1-4
  • Each result has 1/4 chance (25%)
  • For role-playing games

Understanding the 3D Animation

When you roll, watch for these animation phases:

  1. Zoom Out Phase: Dice grow larger and fly toward you
  2. Spinning Phase: Dice spin rapidly in 3D space
  3. Maximum Zoom: Dice reach largest size while spinning
  4. Return Phase: Dice shrink back and slow down
  5. Final Position: Dice settle showing your rolled numbers

This takes about 2-4 seconds and mimics real dice physics!

How Results Are Calculated

For a Single Die:

Simply shows the number rolled

Example: "D6 rolled: 5"

For Multiple Dice:

Shows each die result and adds them together

Format: "D6 rolled: [die 1] + [die 2] + [die 3] = [total]"
Example: "D6 rolled: 3 + 5 + 2 = 10"

Visual Appearance of Dice

D6 Dice (6-sided)

  • White/cream colored cube
  • Red border outline
  • Dark red dots (called "pips")
  • Standard casino dice appearance

D4 Dice (4-sided)

  • White/cream colored pyramid
  • Red border outline
  • Numbers displayed as text (1-4)
  • Number facing down is your result

💡 Tips & Tricks

Best Practices

  • Wait for animation: Let dice finish rolling before clicking again
  • Use spacebar: Faster than clicking!
  • Mobile friendly: Touch-optimized for phones and tablets
  • Reading D4 results: The number that's most visible/upright is your result
  • Staggered animation: Multiple dice roll one after another for visual clarity

Common Use Cases

🎲 Board Games (like Monopoly)

  1. Select D6
  2. Set to 2 dice
  3. Press Spacebar to roll
  4. Use the total shown

🐉 Role-Playing Games (D&D)

  2. Set number of dice needed
  3. Roll and use total or individual results

📊 Teaching Math/Probability

  1. Roll multiple times and record results
  2. Students calculate probabilities
  3. Visual 3D animation engages learners

đŸŽ¯ Quick Random Numbers

  1. Keep default settings (1 D6)
  2. Press Spacebar
  3. Get random number 1-6 instantly

📱 Mobile vs Desktop

đŸ–Ĩī¸ Desktop

  • Horizontal layout (1-3 dice)
  • 3-column grid (4-6 dice)
  • Larger dice size
  • More spacing between dice

📱 Mobile

  • Vertical stack (1-3 dice)
  • 2-column grid (4-6 dice)
  • Touch-optimized
  • No horizontal scrolling needed

Why the Difference?

Mobile screens are narrower, so stacking dice vertically or using 2 columns prevents them from going off-screen. This ensures you can see all dice clearly without zooming or scrolling.
